Each year for the holidays the artists at the Night Heron Gallery create a gift bag of their art and raffle it off for charity. This year’s recipient will be the Joseph Jerome Memorial Fund.
“We try to pick something that has a personal connection to one of us,” said artist Lisa Brown. Joseph Jerome was Ms. Brown nephew by marriage. He died in September of 2013 after years of battling a chronic illness. The memorial fund was set up by his parents to defray the transportation costs for other Islanders facing issues of chronic illness.
